Bill Vlahos Hearing Adjourned

3 minute read

The independent Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board has announced that, by consent of the parties, it has adjourned sine die the hearing of charges laid by Racing Victoria stewards against William Vlahos.

The grounds for the adjournment are that investigations by Victorian Police and other authorities involving Vlahos are ongoing.

Under the order issued on February 28 RV stewards in accordance with AR 8(z), the rights and privileges granted to Vlahos as a registered owner and stablehand remain suspended until the hearing and determination of these charges.

That being Vlahos remains under the disabilities applied to a disqualified person under AR 182(1) which include, but are not limited to, bans on entering racecourses, participating in the ownership of any racehorses; and betting on thoroughbred racing.
