Tasmanian race goers will be able to watch The Cleaner’s race live at Tattersall’s Park on Saturday (25 October) at a Tasmanian Racing Club (TRC) race meeting.

The Hobart race meeting originally planned for 19 October was moved to Cox Plate day following negotiations with the TRC and Sky Channel to allow Tasmanians to watch the race live in a racing atmosphere.

Tasracing chief executive officer Eliot Forbes said the move to Cox Plate day provided an opportunity for Tasmanians to attend the race meeting and celebrate The Cleaner’s achievements.

The first race at Tattersall’s Park is scheduled for 2:20pm with the last race set to run at 6:09pm.

The Cleaner will race the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley at 5:40pm.

Dr Forbes said he was pleased that Hobart race goers would be able to enjoy a day of local racing in the lead up to watching the Cox Plate on the TRC's screens inside the club.

The first 200 people over the age of 18 to purchase entry tickets on the day will receive a $10 betting voucher courtesy of THE TOTE.

Tasmanian Racing Club bar and dining facilities will be operating as normal.
