Evidence was taken from trainer Mr J Pride and a veterinary report from the Warwick Farm Equine Centre Pty Ltd was also tendered. Pride stated that the filly had not been treated for any condition or lameness leading into her second trial.

It was established that the filly broke down near the 200m mark and, after being transported to the clinic was found to have a fractured pelvis, with enlargement of the swelling over the right pelvis and right hind limb. Due to the significance of the fractures and the deterioration in her comfort, Bondi To Bronte was euthanised on humane grounds.

The Stewards confirmed the clinical findings of Warwick Farm Equine Centre with Pride and, after interviewing rider Jason Collett and conducting an inspection of the relevant sections of the Warwick Farm trial track, were satisfied with the condition of the track. The stewards were satisfied that no pre-existing condition existed with the filly.
