Caitlin Forrest Memorial Car Cruise

3 minute read

The Caitlin Forrest "Riding with Angels" Memorial Cruise will be held this weekend as a tribute to honour the young rider who was tragically killed in a horse race fall in South Australia in October.

The car cruise (CFMC) was established through the South Australian car enthusiast community of which Caitlin’s father Darren Forrest is a member.

The tight knit community were so shocked they wanted to do something to comfort and emotionally and financially support Darren and his family after this tragic event.

Darren requested that he didn't want flowers and preferred that gifts be made by donating to The National Jockeys Trust, an organisation that provided his family with emotional and financial support during this tough time.

The organisers have designed custom CFMC T-Shirts, bumper stickers and printed ribbons with all profits from the sale of these items to be donated to the National Jockeys Trust.

A car cruise gathers car enthusiasts at a predetermined location where people can socialise, show off their cars and as a large group cruise (slow-drive) from Point A to Point B.
