Black Opal Stakes Prelude Event

3 minute read

Gerard Middleton and Golden Slipper winning trainer Frank Cleary will entertain Canberran's at a prelude event to next month's Black Opal Stakes.

The Black Opal Experience, presented by One Agency Blewitt Properties, is the ultimate experience in Black Opal Race Day style & knowledge, packaged into an exclusive cocktail event.

"This is the perfect opportunity for guests to be entertained by presenters sharing their expertise and personal success stories and be inspired by the latest trends in race wear fashions, beauty and millinery designs," event organiser Danielle Cleary said.

The Black Opal Experience, the first of its kind in the ACT, is being supported by elite racing identities including Thoroughbred Events Australia’s Sharon Lenton.

Ms Lenton and Lizzie Wagner Group will provide model styling advice for gents and ladies, on what makes the perfect race day outfit and what the judges will be looking for if entering Fashions on the Field.

"As an inclusive brand and one aligned closely to the racing industry, it's only natural that ACTTAB promote such events and present to women how to get the most out of a day at the races," ACTTAB's Marketing Manager Scott Colvin said.

"Danielle's unique concept to fuse fashion with racing form and betting brings to life the racing experience. Together along with other sponsors and partners we look forward to preparing the ladies of Canberra for the ultimate racing experience at Canberra's premier race day."

The Black Opal Experience will be held at the Hotel Realm, 18 National Circuit Barton ACT on Sunday 15th February 2015 from 3pm to 5pm.

The Black Opal Stakes and Canberra Cup will take place on Sunday, March 8 at Thoroughbred Park.

The Black Opal Experience events tickets can be purchased from www.danielleclearyevents.com or by contacting 0427 666 584.
