Post race reports from recent Sydney meetings.

RANDWICK TRACKWORK August 1

Sweet And Speedy – Stable representative D Eustace reported that the mare had sustained a pelvic injury during the course of trackwork. Eustace was advised that, in accordance with Racing NSW protocols for orthopaedic injuries, appropriate veterinary clearances would be required prior to Sweet And Speedy barrier trialling to the satisfaction of the stewards.

ROSEHILL TRACKWORK July 30

You Da One – trainer Gerald Ryan reported that the mare bled for the second time during trackwork. Ryan was advised that You Da One would now be banned from racing in Australia forever in accordance with the provisions of AR53A(5).

CANTERBURY July 29

Race 3: Russet’s trainer Gary Portelli reported the gelding had pulled up well and indicated, in his view, was not suited by the soft track conditions.

Race 6: Co-trainer Ms M Turner reported an endoscopic examination of Sweet Kiss had not revealed any abnormalities, however, had now been spelled.

CRANBOURNE July 29

Race 7: For The Fallen’s trainer Shea Eden advised that the gelding has pulled up with muscle soreness behind and will be treated accordingly before being spelled.

WODONGA July 29

Race 1: Run Lolly Run’s co-trainer Craig Widdison advised the mare appeared to have pulled up well however it was the stable’s intention to now recommend to connections her retirement from racing.

CANTERBURY – July 29

RACE 3: Trainer Gary Portelli reported that Russet had pulled up well and indicated, in his view, was not suited by the soft track conditions.

CANTERBURY July 25

RACE 1: Trainer Chris Waller advised that Vanbrugh had pulled up well. He indicated that he would now step the horse up in distance, barrier trial the horse and have it freshened prior to its next race start and hoped to find firmer tracks.

RACE 3: Trainer Chris Waller advised that Danchai had pulled up well and the horse had been accepted in Melbourne this Saturday.

Sir Mako’s trainer Chris Waller advised that the horse had pulled up well with no abnormalities. He added that Sir Mako is an acceptor for Melbourne and Sydney.

RACE 5: The Williams’ stable advised that Reigning Meteor had pulled up well with no abnormalities and would now be sent for a short spell.

RACE 7: Trainer Bjorn Baker advised that a subsequent veterinary examination of Miss Tenpins had revealed no abnormalities. He added that Miss Tenpins would now be sent for a short spell. Baker undertook to submit a veterinary clearance for the horse prior to it racing again.

Stable representative Mark Newnham advised that Echo Gal pulled up well with no abnormalities and the intention was to continue on with the horse's preparation.

RACE 8: I’m In The Money’s trainer Jeff Englebrecht advised that the mare had pulled up well, however would now be freshened up prior to its next race start.

GOSFORD July 23

RACE 4: Saturday Of May – Co-trainer James Cummings stated that the gelding had pulled up well and consideration was still being given to its future race plans.

WARWICK FARM July 22

RACE 2: Stable representative Mark Newnham stated that Evening Ladies pulled up well and will be freshened up.

RACE 3: Co-trainer Michael Hawkes reported that Giant Circus had pulled up well and it was the stable's intention to continue with its current preparation.

RACE 6: Stable representative Shannon Perry reported that Quartermaster had pulled up well and again confirmed that, in his opinion, the horse was disadvantaged by being ridden forward in this event. Perry indicated that it would be the stable's intention to have Quartermaster ridden quieter at its next start.

RACE 7: Trainer Clarry Conners reported that Stylish Lad had now been spelled.
