NSW

CANTERBURY - October 23

RACE 4: Who Are They’s trainer Gerald Ryan reported that the filly pulled up will and will trial prior to its

WARWICK FARM – October 21

RACE 7: Weona Gladiator’s trainer David Vandyke reported the gelding appears to have recovered well and a post-race blood test revealed no abnormalities. The gelding will undergo a Dynamic scope at the end of next week to further determine if there is an underlying issue and will forward the results to the Stewards.

RANDWICK – October 17

RACE 2: Stable representative Liam Prior reported that it was the opinion of the stable that Feast For Eyes may be getting its tongue over the bit for which they will add a tongue tie to its gear and also instruct the rider not to restrain Feast For Eyes. It will be the intention that Feast For Eyes will lead at its next start.

RACE 3: Trainer L Baudron reported that Orion Love had a poor post recovery on Sunday, however has since recovered well and has worked well since. He will continue to keep the Orion Love in work before a decision is made as to whether to retire the mare and monitor the mare’s progress before making a decision as to whether Orion Love returns to stud.

RACE 4: Flash In The Dark’s trainer Keith Dryden reported that the filly had been galloped on and had otherwise pulled up well. He added that, as indicated to the stewards on the day, Flash In The Dark worked without blinkers and has pleased the stable in that gallop.

RACE 5: Louisiana Rouge’s stable foreperson Shannon Perry stated he will drop the mare back in distance and it will be restricted to country class until it establishes form.

RACE 6: Just A Blur’s co-trainer Barbara Joseph reported that the mare had pulled up well following the disappointing performance. She added that Just A Blur was not suited by the shifting track conditions on the day.

GOSFORD October 15

RACE 2: Spiced’s stable representative Tom Ward advised that the filly had pulled up well and the stable will continue with its preparation.

RACE 5: Surfer’s trainer Anthony Cummings advised the gelding would now be freshened prior to its next race start.

Stars And Storm’s trainer Anthony Cummings advised the gelding will be freshened and brought back in distance as, in his opinion, it did not run out the 2100m distance.

RACE 6: Salt Flat’s stable representative Tom Ward advised that the gelding had pulled up well, however, will now leave the stable.

WARWICK FARM October 14

RACE 7: Stable representative Tom Ward reported that Accuse had pulled up well and had gone for a spell.

RANDWICK October 10

RACE 8: Darciwood ‘s co-trainer Michael Hawkes reported the gelding had gone for a spell.

VICTORIA

MOONEE VALLEY October 23

RACE 6: Rain Affair’s trainer Daniel Bowman reported the gelding jarred up.

BALLARAT October 22

RACE 3: Hostile Witness - stable of trainer Darren Weir advised that the mare pulled up slightly “scratchy” following its performance and it was their intention, after a light week, to continue on with its current preparation.

RACE 4: Sallanches trainer Ciaron Maher advised the mare had pulled up well and as they were of the opinion it had come to the end of its preparation would now be spelled.

RACE 6: Lomasu - co-trainer Mathew Ellerton advised that the mare pulled up well following its disappointing performance however it was their intention to send the mare for a spell.

Miss Wilson - trainer Simon Morrish advised that the filly had pulled up well following its disappointing performance and he agreed with the rider’s assessment that the filly did not run the trip, and therefore it was their intention to continue on with the current preparation, albeit over races of a decreased distance.

GEELONG October 21

RACE 7: Quest For More - the stable of trainer Roger Charles advised that the gelding had pulled up satisfactorily following its performance and it was their intention to continue on with its current preparation.

SWAN HILL October 20

RACE 5: Ben’s Way - the stable of trainer Darren Weir advised that the horse had pulled up well following its disappointing performance and it was their intention to add blinkers to its gear for next start.

RACE 7: Miss Thunder Road - the stable of trainer Darren Weir advised that the mare would be leaving their stable following its disappointing performance.

BAIRNSDALE October 19

RACE 7: Tatler Belle - trainer Marcus Fahler has reported that following the mare’s disappointing performance, it had become clear she was displaying signs of being in season.

SEYMOUR October 18

RACE 8: Little Capri - trainer Phil Sweeney advised that the gelding pulled up well. He also added that he would be better suited to a softer track.

Secretan - trainer John Sadler advised that the gelding pulled up well, however will get him scoped and advise if anything is amiss. He also added the gelding will have one last run and may go for a spell from there.

WARRNAMBOOL October 18

RACE 2: Richman - trainer Leah Rogers advised the gelding pulled up a little shin sore and had been sent for a spell. Ms Rogers confirmed it was the intention to ride Richman back first up and she did not wish for the gelding to be caught wide or over-racing.

CAULFIELD October 17

RACE 5: Tivaci - the stable of trainer Michael Moroney have advised that the colt has pulled up well and they plan to run him on Derby Day; they will also add a tongue tie for his next start.

RACE 9: Set Square - trainer Ciaron Maher was questioned today concerning the tactics adopted on the mare, after it led, and he explained that this was never the stable’s intention and the instructions were to try and get the mare to switch off and settle with some cover. He added that blinkers were put on at the previous start and after rider Kerrin McEvoy put some pressure on her in the early stages, she got racing and ended up going forward, which was in his view detrimental to the horse’s chances.

RACE 10: Fontiton - trainer Robert Smerdon advised that the filly was distressed post race and lame in her off fore leg.

BENDIGO October 17

RACE 2: Sound the Trumpet - trainer Robbie Laing has confirmed the colt pulled up satisfactorily, but will be sending him for a trial before his next start.

RACE 7: Tom Melbourne - co-trainer Anthony Freedman has confirmed that the gelding pulled his near fore plate during the event and pulled up very foot sore. They are going to be continuing on with the gelding’s preparation.
