Gosford Race Club Appoints New CEO

3 minute read

Gosford Race Club has appointed Daniel Lacey to replace current Gosford Race Club chief executive James Heddo.

Heddo will be leaving to take up a senior role with the Australian Turf Club in February.

Lacey is the club's current Chief Operating Officer and has been appointed as Acting CEO immediately.

He will take over as CEO of Gosford Race Club from February 18 after Heddo departs.

Lacey has been employed at the Gosford Race Club since April 2014, following a successful six year tenure at the Australian Turf Club, where he specialised in business development and project management.

He has experience in media, entertainment, property development and hospitality and is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

“We decided some two years ago that it was important to initiate a clear succession plan for the CEO role and we are pleased to have secured Daniel Lacey who has been an integral part of our facilities upgrade and strategic focus for the last 18 months,” stated Gosford Race Club chairman Michael Cusick.

“Daniel is an outstanding young man who has impressed us all since joining the Gosford Race Club.

"We look forward to continuing success with Daniel at the helm.”
