Thoroughbred Park have announced the 2017/2018 Racing Ambassadors who will fly the flag for the Canberra Racing Club.
They’re young, hip and fashionable – and they all love horse racing.
Henry Speight: Brumbies and Wallabies rugby union player who is undisputably a firm fan favourite.
He is looking forward to representing Thoroughbred Park and the Canberra Racing Club with his interest in sport, fashion and love of horses.
“I am especially interested in the Black Opal Stakes day, the colour and excitement of horse racing is something I am really looking forward to being a part of,” Speight said.
Chynna Marston: Chynna is a Sky Racing presenter and tipster with an adoration for racing and Thoroughbreds. She also runs a small business re-training ex-racehorses for re-homing in other disciplines. Chynna’s job is picking horses almost every day of the week on Sky Racing.
“I love the glamour of a race day, and love dressing up and the fashions on the field competitions in Canberra are absolutely amazing, we have so much local talent in design and styling,” Chynna said.
Kristen Henry: Local morning show host on 106.3, this is the 2nd year Kristen has been involved with the Club in this capacity.
“It’s about fashion, it’s about style, it’s about sophistication. I feel you can’t go around the corner without seeing someone you know at the races,” she said.
Anna Flannagan: Hockeyroos star and Australia’s “Golden Girl”, Anna loves going to the races for a great day out.
“I love the fashion at the races and the people watching, there is so much to see and take in,” she said.
Adam Moore: Adam Moore is one of the most fashionable men in town. With a flair for men's fashion his 17,000 strong instagram followers seek out his latest trends and styling for every occasion.
“They say that fashion for men is easy for race day, and everyone has their own style and interpretation and the men are certainly standing out” he said.
Kayla Nisbet: Kayla is a local jockey who comes from a racing background, with her father also being a champion jockey turned trainer. Kayla will ride at most race days but will be actively involved in the promotion of the racecourse.
“I have been around Thoroughbreds all of my life and its such a great day out going to the races. I am looking forward to representing my favourite Club,” Kayla said
