The Best Ever Easter Egg Hunt will be under starter’s orders at Caulfield racecourse on Easter Saturday March 31 with the annual event preparing to hide 45,000 Cadbury Easter eggs on the front lawn.

There will be a total of five separate egg hunting sessions running from midday until 3pm with the littlies (aged 6 years and under) participating in their own special hunt.

Cadbury’s iconic life-size Easter Bunny will make an appearance throughout the day while a number of free children’s activities including amusement rides, pony rides and petting zoo will be in full swing.

For those who haven’t pre-registered their children online for The Best Ever Easter Egg Hunt presented by Cadbury, there will be an opportunity to get involved in the action on the day for just $5 with proceeds going to Camp Quality.

Head to the front lawn to register with all children to be accompanied by their parents.

Adult racegoers can enjoy the final day of the popular Bondi Sands Pool Party, where lucky racegoers will be invited to experience their day from the pristine views of the pool deck.

The Pimm’s Bar, delicious food by Biggie Smalls and exciting race card highlighted by the running of the $150,000 Listed Le Pine Funerals Easter Cup (2000m) will complement the trackside action.

The long Easter weekend of racing continues at Mornington Racecourse on Easter Sunday 1 April, with another exciting Easter Egg Hunt presented by Cadbury set to transform the front lawn into a chocolate paradise,.

Racing on Easter Monday 2 April at Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) will complete the weekend’s festivities.

• Face painting

• Craft activities featuring easel painting

• Petting zoo
