The Australian Pattern and Development Committee has held its bi-annual meeting and considered races which were eligible for upgrade.

The Committee recommended two races to the Racing Australia Board for upgrade.

1. 3yo fillies MRC Foundation Plate to Listed status.

2. Sydney Stakes (City Tattersalls Lightning) to Group 3 status.

The Racing Australia Board has subsequently endorsed the recommendations with the upgrades taking effect from August 1, 2018.
