The first book telling the story of champion mare Winx’s astonishing career will be released this month.

‘Winx; Biography Of A Champion’ has been penned by racing aficionado Trevor Marshallsea, well known as the co-writer of trainer Peter Moody’s best seller ‘A Long Way from Wyandra’.

Winx has transcended the track to become a national icon, earning the kind of affection and acclaim previously reserved for the likes of Phar Lap, Tulloch, Kingston Town and Black Caviar.

Her story is a tale of one extraordinary horse and the people who made it happen.

Winx, like Black Caviar, came from a moderate beginning to record 25 wins in a row, earning the ranking as the best turf galloper in the world and smashing all sorts of records along the way.

Her biography contains 48 pages of stunning colour photographs to accompany a rich and compelling story of the highs and lows of her extraordinary career and the backstories of the people behind her.
