Analysis and suggested bets for nine-race card at Murray Bridge on Saturday.

We look to play with a straight bat on Saturday and keen to follow up on two off the back of eye-catching first up efforts.

The bet365 best of the day jumps firsts and it's Rockstar Meggsy from the Jon O'Connor stable (Race 5).

Taken back from an outside draw when resuming three weeks ago, the four-year-old lengthened nicely when pulled to the outside turning for home and kept coming to only just miss (0.1L).

The mare is sure to have come on with that run under her belt but doesn't need to improve much on the ratings to be highly competitive. Drawn kinder this time, I anticipate sticking rider Jason Holder will take closer order and if he can I expect her to blow them away.

The other I'm eager to play is the David Jolly-trained Howl in race seven (7).

Similar set up to our best, the six-year-old drifted back from his wide draw, before weaving a passage back towards the inside and attacking the line for third.

Shouldering a strong record at this journey, Lachlan Neindorf can settle closer to the action from the better gate and under the light weight should be powering home when the whips are cracking.
