Good day of racing in Sydney, headlined by the Inglis Millennium and Eskimo Prince.

Looks a good day of both racing and betting at Randwick with some nice types resuming especially of interest. The $2 million Inglis Millennium looks a fascinating race and I think there is a bet to be had there.

Fully Lit is the favourite off a dominant debut win but the ones behind him that day don't look much chop and his rating of 101, while very good, isn't any better than what the Inglis Nursery rated to, which was won by Odinson.

He was very good there coming from a long way back, but equally good was Beer Baron, who sat very wide and basically half-carted Odinson into the race, hitting the front and putting a length on Odinson in the straight before just being overrun late.

His trials before that had been good, his 50-1 price on debut more a reflection of his low-profile stable than anything else. Tommy Berry was happy to be with him then and sticks with him again here, this time from barrier one.

He showed good speed to win a recent Goulburn trial and from that gate I'm expecting him to be much closer this time. We're still getting a big price for him at around 25-1 and that looks worth taking in a race where I don't think you could back anything at under 5-1.

We'll make the baron the value play and then roll onto Race 8 for the best, a very handy 1000m Bm94 with some smart sprinters going around.

Frilled is the early favourite and I think that's very easy to take on. She's a ripper mare for Matthew Smith and very fast, unbeaten in five starts, the last two at Moonee Valley where she was too quick for some pretty average horses. In with 53kg here is the attraction but she's up against some Group performed horses who will really put it to her.

You'll need to be quick to keep up in this which I think could rule out a few horses better suited over 1200m and likely to get back in the field.

One horse that looks suited is Omni Man, who has plenty of speed, but also strength, able to win over 1100m against some handy types at Rosehill last time in.

His average starting price in his past four starts was $2.40, running to a peak of 106 twice, starting $2.40 in listed level before a spell. He's got the full 59kg here but I think he can land outside Frilled with Tim Clark onboard and overhaul her when she starts to feel the pinch late.
