Morphettville Parks Races on 19th Augudt 2023

Plumpton trainer Patrick Payne was the first trainer to meet with success at Morphettville on the Parks track on Saturday when The Nephew won the 2250 metre opening race.


Guided to victory by Todd Pannell The Nephew raced one and two off the pace before going to the front halfway down the straight.

Murray Bridge trainer Michael Hickmott is looking forward to the future with the three-year-old Braveman'sgame broke his maiden status at his second start when he won the 1250 metre second race.

Having the services of Jake Toeroek Braveman'sgame was well placed.

Michael Hickmott landed the second leg of a training double when Exalted Fire proved too strong for his rivals in the 1550 metre third race.

Bringing up a double for hoop Todd Pannell Exalted Fire came from tow off the pace to win.

Jake Toeroek made it two wins for the day when he rode Home Rule to victory in the 1000 metre fourth race.

Being under the care of Maddy Raymond at Warrnambool Home Rule was another winner to be well placed.

The Andrew Noblet prepared Demando made it two wins in a row when she won the 1250 metre fifth race.

Having the services of apprentice Ben Price Demando sat one out one back before meeting with success.

Murray Bridge horseman David Aldridge was well pleased with the win of his charge Chicago Storm in the 1250 metre sixth race.

Well ridden by apprentice Sheriden Chicago Storm came from fourth with a withering run over the last few metres.

After doing most of his racing on dirt tracks I'm Kenny brought up his first win on the turf when he took out the 1550 metre seventh race.

Having the services of apprentice Taylor Childs the Darren Magro and Aimee Bush trained I'm Kenny led all the way.

Coming off a last start second on his home track of Murray Bridge the Matthew Seyers trained Lonrodex was victorious in the 1000 metre eighth race.

Ridden by Ryan Hurdle Lonrodex raced one off the pace.

Coming to Adelaide with several runners Flemington trainer Danny O'Brien had to wait until the final event to score a win when El Cordobes won over 1400 metres.

Presenting jockey Fred Kersley with his first win after returning from injury El Cordobes came from a worse than midfield position with a strong run late in the event.
