Morphettville Parks Racing Review on 26th August 2023

Todd Pannell brought up the first leg of a double when he rode Prince Jofra to a win in the opening event of 1550 metres on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Being under the care of Travis Doudle Prince Jofra steadily improved from a midfield position to get to the front 200 metres from home.

The training combination of Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea continued their good run when Everly won the three-year-old maiden plate which was run over 1000 metres.

Having the services of apprentice Ben Price Everly came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Kelsey Hannan landed her second win since coming to SA from New Zealand earlier in the week when Calla Dream won the 1000 metre third race.

Coming out of the Murray Bridge stable of Ron Daniels and Trish Stanbury and resuming from a spell Calla Dream was seen running on from a midfield position.

Co-trainers Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman laded the second leg of a two state double when within minutes when Insulation took out the 1950 metre fourth race.

Ridden by apprentice Will Price Insulation brought up back-to-back wins when he came from a midfield position to win.

Murray Bridge training duo of Daniel Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray were well pleased with the win of Storm Hunter in the 1250 metre fifth race.

Ridden by apprentice Jacob Opperman Storm Hunter led all the way.

Resuming from a spell the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young prepared Etienne took out the 1000 metre sixth race.

Giving Todd Pannell the second leg of a double Etienne raced one off the pace before going to the front.

Apprentice Kelsey Hannan landed the second leg of her double when Alpine Flyer won the 1250 metre seventh race.

Bringing up her second win in a row the Michael Hickmott prepared Alpine Flyer was well placed.

Trainer Patrick Payne kept his good Morphettville run intact when the five-year- old mare Seonee took out the listed 1400 metre Leon Macdonald Stakes.

Guided to victory by Jake Noonan Seonee raced two off the pace before running down the popular choice See You In Heaven just before the post.

Apprentice Kelsey Hannan brought up her third winner for the day when Angaston won the 1400 metre final event.

Being under the care of Jon O'Connor Angaston came with a withering run from the rear of the field to score a last stride win.
