Loved Up put up a good effort to score. She raced midfield (wide with cover) before getting a split rounding the home turn. She put in a good run in the centre of the track at the 200m and finished strongly to win, with something in hand, by a half-length. She is now the winner of five of her ten starts and is a smart filly. Grand Proposal was midfield on the rails before getting a nice run through nearing the home turn. She got along the rails to take a narrow lead at the 200m and fought on well for second. Kansas Sunflower was seventh on the rails, improved between runners coming to the home turn, challenged at the 200m and battled on well for a closeup third. The favoured runners Armada ($4.50) and Jackpot ($4.00) disappointed. Armada weakened from third at the turn to finish (6.6 lengths) eighth whilst Jackpot tired for (8.7 lengths) tenth, after leading to the home turn.
