The impressive Barakey resumed with another win - his twelfth in thirteen starts. He began quickly and went straight to the lead. He drew well clear approaching the home turn and looked set for an easy win, but he was tiring in the latter stages and lasted to win narrowly at his first start since March. Power Princess was a distant sixth on the rails to the 600m point. She was still giving the leader about eight lengths at the 400m, before coming with a good run for a late-closing second.
