Elite Belle ($3 fav) raced in eighth spot, one off the rails before Damien Oliver asked her for an effort nearing the home turn. She fanned quite wide on turning into the straight, challenged strongly at the 200m but then had to dig deep before drawing clear nearing the post to score decisively by three quarter lengths. It was a smart effort. Rose Of Choice was nicely placed about fifth one off the rails, she moved up well rounding the home turn and showed a good turn of foot to take a narrow lead at the 200m before battling on gamely for a good second. Bippo No Bungus was just past midfield, one off the rails. She kept making ground from the 600m and went to third passing the 200m. She then fought on nicely for a good third, without threatening the first pair. *ANZ
