Mr Utopia enjoyed a nice run in fifth position, one off the fence on the back of Full Steam Ahead, who raced in fourth position one out one back. Mr Utopia travelled well approaching the home turn before taking the turn four wide. He wound up with a big run and quickened up smartly, drawing away to score with plenty in reserve. Full Steam Ahead was good in defeat. He gave the winner a lead into the race but could not match his turn of foot. He battled on gamely pushing the leader the whole way to the line. *ANZ
