Three-year-old filly Svalbard, who was having her second race start, won quite well resuming here. She was eased from her wide barrier (9) and settled beyond midfield, wide with cover. She moved up (deep) rounding the home turn and ran on resolutely to grab a good short head win at the post. Her Darren Weir-trained stablemate Keep The Klass was midfield between runners to the 600m and ran on nicely in the straight, just finding the winner a bit too strong in the closing stages to finish (long head) second.
