The favourite Rock Magic settled in sixth place one off the rails, following a moderate early pace (first 800m 49.95) on the Dead4 surface. He moved up nicely nearing the home turn, took the lead on passing the 200m and then went on to score his fourth successive win at this track quite well. Bippo No Bungus was fourth one out and one back. She improved coming to the turn, took the lead at 200m then battled back well to finish second. Celebrity Miss enjoyed a good trip, third on the rails but was held up briefly after rounding the home turn. She got a split at the 150m and then fought on to take third, beaten just over two lengths. *ANZ
