Rosmartini advanced to 2100m at her sixth run since resuming from a six-month spell to score a narrow but very good win. She went to the front and travelled along nicely at quite a good tempo in the Soft6 conditions. She grabbed a good break coming to the home turn and then fought back gamely to score in a solid frontrunning effort. The favourite Showy Chloe settled back in tenth place and was still well back at the home turn. She commenced a strong run in the centre of the course from the 300m, challenged at 50m and fought well for a very good second. Awesome As raced in fifth place on the rails, got along the inner to be second at the 200m and then battled well to take a sound third.
