Schweppes (Bm64)
Tudor was quickly away and went straight to the lead. He settled well in front, got a break shortly after turning for home and then dashed clear at the 200m, before holding on to win by just under a length and a half. He is a nippy colt who looks quite progressive. Fast Cash followed his easy debut win at Swan Hill a fortnight ago with a smart late-closing second here. He settled just past midfield on the rails, but was suddenly under pressure at the 600m and dropped back to last at the turn. He switched deep at the 200m and then made considerable late ground for second. He clearly has ability and is worth watching. The favourite Stratum Star was a handy sixth, three wide with cover, he switched wide on turning for home, got to second at the 200m and then held on for third after seeming to have every chance. *ANZ
