The Peter Moody-trained three-year-old Inauguration looks quite promising, winning well here over 1600m at his fourth career start and second run this preparation. He travelled comfortably in fourth place, one out and one back, following a moderate tempo. He moved up at the home turn, challenged at the 200m and ran on well in the sprint home to win by half a length. He looks suited to further and has potential. General Custer raced outside the leader and went to the front in the straight, fighting back well for (half length) second.
