Mordicus, a $500,000 Inglis 2013 Sydney Easter Yearling Sales purchase, was an impressive winner after his good second on debut at this track on 3 June. He was smartly away and soon drove through to take the lead. He then travelled well, drew clear nearing the 200m and was given an easy time by Damien Oliver in the closing stages to win clearly. It was an impressive effort and he looks to have a good future.
