Mike Moroney-trained colt Barthelona won well here on debut, albeit in a photo finish. He settled midfield, between runners, behind a solid tempo. He tracked through nicely rounding the home turn and got a split shortly after straightening to challenge strongly at the 100m. He then finished a bit too well to score a narrow but smart win. Zelamore was quickly away and soon crossed from his wide barrier (10) to lead. He got a break on straightening for fought really well, only being beaten on the post for a very good second.
