Promising colt Shooting To Win followed his impressive debut win recently at Kembla with another good win here. He showed early pace and settled fourth, one out and one back, but he was under riding nearing the home turn as the tempo increased. He moved through in the centre to take the lead at the 200m, and despite racing a bit greenly, had enough in hand to win well. The favourite Felines went straight to the lead, was travelling strongly coming to the home turn but she suddenly veered off the track on turning for home, losing many lengths. She recovered in the closing stages and ran on again well, late (near the outside rail) to take second. She is obviously wayward but is clearly a very talented filly. Swayzee was third on the rails, got an inside run to lead on straightening and she then held on fairly well to take third. *ANZ
