John Thompson-trained filly Mossin’ Around put up a nice effort winning here on debut. She did now so much early pace from her good barrier (2) and settled back in eighth place, between runners before switching out on turning for home. She then commenced a good run, hit the front at the 50m and fought back well to score in a photo in a promising effort. She should appreciate further and is a filly to watch. Chris Waller-trained Tsaritsa travelled well in fifth place on the rails, was held up behind runners on straightening, finally got clear at the 100m and finished well to just miss in a photo for an unlucky second, going very well on debut. Her stablemate Ciarlet was sixth, one off the rails, moved up wide coming to the home turn, got to a narrow lead at the 100m and battled on nicely for a sound third, also on debut.
