Godolphin’s filly Gridelin continues to race consistently now winning both starts this preparation, taking her record to two wins and three seconds from only six starts. She began well and settled nicely in third place on the rails from her good barrier (2). She got a split on straightening, dashed clear nearing the 100m and then drew clear to win quite impressively. Vienna Romance led the field until the 200m and held on to take second while Madame Lily caught the eye running on late from the tail of the eight-horse field for a late-closing third in a promising first up effort.
