Lightly raced four-year-old Steyne is now the winner of his last four races in succession from only six starts to date. The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained gelding settled well back in eighth place (one off the rails), before improving nicely from the 600m. He switched out at the 200m and finished too well to score a narrow but good win at the post. The Bjorn Bakertrained three-year-old filly Live To Dream, who has now raced five times for three wins and two seconds, was brave in defeat. She raced in third and fourth place, on the rails, switched deeper nearing the home turn, took the lead at the 100m only to be caught on the post for a very good second.
