The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained filly Woman, a daughter of Frankel (Galileo) and More Joyous (More Than Ready), created quite an impression in winning here on her debut. She settled nicely in fourth place after a good beginning, improved nicely nearing the home turn, got to the front at the 100m and then drew away to score a very smart win and looks set for a good career. Godolphin-raced filly Laussel raced outside the leader (Mystic Empire), got to the front at the 200m and then fought on well for second in a promising debut.
