Green Card scored a very smart win. He began well and settled just behind the leaders, between runners. He got a split and moved up (three wide) nearing the home turn, dashed to the front at the 200m and then drew right away to win clearly in a most impressive performance. Magna Rossa was quickly away from her wide barrier (14) and settled outside the leader (Northkape). She moved up well rounding the home turn and then fought on quite well for a good second, having no chance with the winner. Jalan Jalan was back in ninth place to the home turn and ran on well for a good third, in a promising effort at only her second race start and should appreciate further. Madonna Lily was a handily placed, just behind the leaders to the home turn and battled on quite well on debut for (5.2 lengths) fourth.
