Unox Mdn Plate
After seconds at her past two starts, Quilate broke through for a very good win here. She settled about eighth between runners, got a split nearing the home turn and sprinted quickly to challenge at the home turn. She dashed clear at the 100m and then went on to score quite impressively. The Chris Waller-trained filly Mount Omei settled in last place, got between runners coming to the home turn and switched deep on straightening. She then came with a really good late run to take second, looking suited to further. It was a promising effort and she is a filly to watch.
