Order Of The Sun put up a strong staying performance with a most impressive all-the-way victory. Chad Schofield let the colt stride through to take the lead in the early stages and he then ran along at a comfortable pace before lifting the tempo from the 600m. He then drew away from the 300m, going on to score by seven lengths, running his final 600m (of 2800m) in a smart 35.63. The favourite Honey Steel’s Gold enjoyed a good trip, fifth one off the rails. He looked a threat as he moved up rounding the home turn and went to third at the 300m. But he had no chance with the winner and he then battled on quite well for second. Throw The King was a handy third to the 600m. He made a brief run at the turn and then battled on for third. More Rewarding was second to the home turn and then held on to finish 12 lengths fourth. *ANZ
