All three placegetters in this 2YO Maiden went well here on debut. The winner, the Tony McEvoy-trained colt Kid Flash put up a really nice effort. After a quick beginning, he went straight to the front but was challenged coming to the home turn. Then after quite a battle in the straight, he fought back gamely to win narrowly but well. The Hawkestrained Bidwee raced outside the leader Kid Flash, put pressure on him from the 600m and kept fighting well for a very good second, while the Shadwell Stud-raced Eshtiraak raced back in fifth place and caught the eye running on late for third.
