Ciaron Maher-trained filly Arohata followed placings in three of her first five starts win a promising win here. She began well and settled in a good spot, fourth (behind a good tempo) before setting out after the leader (Franquin) rounding the home turn. She then ran on well, proving too good in the closing stages to score a good win.
