Robert Smerdon-trained filly Lilas resumed after showing promise with a second on debut in a 2YO Fillies’ Handicap (1200m) at Sandown Lakeside on 17 April to score a promising win here. She began well, settled in sixth place on the rails, switched into clear running at the home turn and then finished really well to grab a narrow but impressive win. She is a filly to watch.
