Private Secretary put up a very smart effort in winning. She went back from her wide barrier (14) and raced in last place in the 16-horse field, behind a solid tempo, until taken deep on straightening. She then put in strong run in the centre of the track to grab a narrow victory in the last few strides. I Am Zelady enjoyed a nice trip in fifth place from her good barrier (2), one off the rails, before getting through to challenge at the 200m. She took the lead at the 50m, only to be caught on the post in finishing a close second. Bidii Babe raced in eighth place, got between runners at the 300m, went to fourth at the 100m and fought on nicely for third. The favourite Egyptian Symbol soon went to the front and then travelled well. She increased her lead nearing the home turn and was only headed on passing the 100m before finishing (1.9 lengths) sixth after running a bold race in the lead.
