Melb Cup Races @ The Eg Mdn
The Godolphin-raced filly Tiny Taj put up a very promising effort in winning here on debut. She settled well back in sixth place (with cover), tracking a strong tempo before commencing a wide move approaching the home turn. She moved up strongly at the 100m and finished a bit too well to score narrowly but quite impressively. She looks a filly with a good future. The Mark Newnham-trained filly Sweet Victory raced back in third place on the rails, before getting through to challenge at the 100m. She then battled gamely for a close second, also putting up a nice effort on debut.
