Gerald Ryan-trained colt Mansa Musa followed his good recent Rosehill barrier trial win with a really promising win here, racing on debut. He was a bit slow to move but quickly recovered and soon went to the front. He then travelled well at a reasonable tempo, had his opposition struggling at the home turn before going on to score, racing a bit greenly but seemingly with plenty in hand. He should be improved by the experience and is a horse to watch.
