Xmas Parties @ Hawkesbury Mdn
Adjective followed his promising second to Inkling (Duporth) recently at Warwick Farm to win well here. He began quickly and raced three wide in third place, without cover, before moving up to take the lead coming to the 200m. He then fought back to win by three quarters of a length after working for most of the race, putting up a good effort. The Gai Waterhouse-trained filly Najoom ($2.25 fav) was slowly away and settled second last in the 12-horse field. She improved between runners on straightening and continued to make ground for a late-closing and unlucky second. It was a good run on debut and she is a promising filly. *ANZ
