Savvan was away well from her wide barrier before settling down in fourth position one out one back. She over-raced a little in the middle stages of the race and made her move three wide approaching the home trn. She hit the front at the 300m and battled on strongly to prove slightly the better of the short-priced favourite Drachenfels who came from last and wide on the turn but could not get by the winner.
