Track specialist It Is Written has now won seven of his 19 starts on this track. He settled in a good spot, third on the rails and got a split to challenge rounding the home turn. After quite a battle in the straight, he got the better of the leader to grab a narrow but gutsy win nearing the post. Tudor showed his usual pace and led the field. He got a break at the home turn and fought gamely for a close second. Fast ‘N’ Rocking was fifth, between runners, got a spit at the home turn and went to third on straightening. He then fought on quite well for a sound third after seeming to have every chance. Turffane was last on the rails in the seven-horse field. He got along the rails from the home turn and continued for fight on well for fourth, running a very bold race for a maiden three-year-old colt.
