Robbie Griffith-trained filly Areti scored an impressive win here on debut. She showed good pace from barrier eight and after sharing the early lead, eased to settle in third place, following a strong tempo. She improved nearing the home turn, raced past the leader (Biseau) on straightening and then drew away to win easily, putting up a really smart performance. Godolphin-raced filly Brittany settled in fifth place on the rails from her inside barrier (1), got through to third at the home turn, went to second at the 100m and fought on well on hold that position, without looking likely to trouble the winner, going nicely on debut. Ramensky made ground from second last in the ten-horse field to take the minor placing, also putting up an encouraging effort on debut.
