Promising three-year-old gelding Matty resumed to score a good first up win and remains unbeaten in three starts. He settled nicely in fourth place, behind a good tempo, before moving up nicely nearing the home turn. He challenged at the 100m and finished a bit too well to grab a narrow but good win on the post. Bella Vino put up a good effort. She showed good pace to lead, was challenged coming to the home turn and fought gamely only being overhauled right on the post for a close second while Athena Lass raced outside of the leader, pressured her approaching the turn and held on well for third.
