Team Hawkes-trained mare Sprightly Lass in now unbeaten after three starts. Having her first run since her first-up win in a Benchmark 70 (1000m) at Gosford on 2 November, she was quickly away from a wide barrier and soon crossed to the front. She then travelled well, fought off a challenge rounding the home turn, dashed clear shortly afterwards the then drew away to score impressively.
