The David Brideoake-trained filly Camila Lucinda is now the winner of two of her three starts this preparation. She was smartly away, went to the front and travelled well before grabbing a break on straightening. She then held on to win quite well. Magnesium Rose, a winner of her only other start, a Bairnsdale 2YO Handicap (1000m) on 25 July, raced in fifth place on the rails from her inside barrier (1). But she was hindered when looking for an inside run rounding the home turn and ran on really well when clear for an unlucky second. She looks a nice filly with a good future.
