The promising Tried And Tired has now raced four times for three wins and a second. He travelled very well in fourth spot, one out and one back before moving up three wide at the turn. He drew clear at the 100m and then went on to score decisively, looking like more wins are in store. Xavi raced in seventh place between runners but got a good run through rounding the turn to challenge at the 100m. He was held by the winner but finished well clear of the rest of the field for a good second. *ANZ
