Two-year-old filly Novel Dancer now remains unbeaten after two starts and looks to have quite a future. She worked a bit in the early stages from her outside barrier (10) before settling outside the leader Cristalina Lago. She took the lead from that filly on straightening and then drew away over the latter stages to win impressively by three and three quarter lengths. It was a strong effort. Marrakesh was slowly away and was well back before improving wide with cover in the mid-stages. She moved up well, put in a good run at the turn and then held on after a difficult trip for second, a half-length in advance of the Cristalina Lago who held on for third after leading to the turn. *ANZ
